Jamie Field

Jamie has been recording music for 8 years. He began producing demos and EPs for friends' bands, each one teaching him something new about the process with a much improved outcome over the last. Recently he has been working with a few different indie bands who have reached a point where they require recordings of a substantial quality but do not have the funds for top-end studios. He has a real respect for bands that are passionate about their music and loves having the opportunity to create something that has an integrity and be something they really care about.

Jamie is very competent with Digidesign ProTools 7 (mostly LE sometimes HD) and familiar with MOTU Digital Performer and Reason. Equipment wise, he begs/steals/borrows what he can from friends; usually consisting of a bunch of fairly reasonable mics and a pre-amp or two. The magic generally happens in people’s living rooms or whatever large space is available, as well as creating vocal booths out of duvets in his bedroom!

Band-wise he has really enjoyed working with the Colour and Tubelord boys, and more of the same in and around that genre would definitely not go amiss for him. He does however have a pretty eclectic music taste and doesn't think there's any kind band he wouldn't like to work with, stating all the ondryland bands are 'pretty mega'.
