ENEMIES

Enemies spawned from a solo bedroom project started by guitarist Eoin Whitfield. After recording tracks over a period of a year, future members Lewis Jackson, Oisin McMahon Trench and Mark O'Brien proposed to start it as a full band project. In April 2007 Enemies were born. After producing a demo for their first song, "Popular Records" showed interest and wished to work with them on their debut release. Soon after Enemies began working on their debut EP, entitled "Alpha Waves". This EP was released in March 2008 followed by many live shows around Ireland and was met with great success both locally and in Europe, The US and Japan.
Japanese interest began with record label Stiff Slack where the EP Alpha Waves has sold out twice. This has sparked wider interest with Japanese label Machu Picchu who will be re-releasing Alpha Waves in the near future. Through Machu Picchu Enemies became friends with band TOE which has led to a planned tour of Japan in summer of 2009. Still in its relative infancy, Enemies have their sights set on the future and are currently working on their latest release, a 7" vinyl with accompanying DVD due in January 2009, to be released by the Richter collective. Plans to follow this up with a full length for late 2009 are underway and there has been extensive interest from various labels worldwide.
